Visual Communication
Phreaking is a slang term coined to describe the activity of a culture of people who study, experiment with, or explore telecommunication systems, such as equipment and systems connected to public telephone networks. The term phreak is a sensational spelling of the word freak with the ph- from phone, and may also refer to the use of various audio frequencies to manipulate a phone system. Phreak, phreaker, or phone phreak are names used for and by individuals who participate in phreaking.
Phreakers like me were able to reach other people in the beginnings of the internet. We were reaching remote people in locations we could not imagine before by using custom made boxes and connecting in loops.
INTRODUCING
Loop telecoms realize that internet connectivity in remote places is still an issue nowadays. Remote villas, retreats or residences cannot rely on roaming. Fast and reliable internet becomes imperative in a connected world.
Our campaign takes two forms. The first one is the visual identity of loop itself. 3D Animations create a tech-like vision of bits travelling like light in metallic spaces. Minimalistic geometric forms and repetitive movements create a visually intriguing world that is attractive for young generations and eye-catching for older ones.
The second part of the campaign focuses on natural elements. Remote locations recreated in 3D take the shape of our logotype. Loop Telecoms is present where people don’t expect it. This creates a very strong imagery for larger panels such as bus stops, metro stations or magazines.
